Publisert 27. januar, 2026

Johan Sälgström has today assumed the role of CEO of Entercard, succeeding former CEO Jan Haglund.

“With extensive experience from the financial sector and deep expertise in cards and payments from Swedbank, Johan is well suited to lead Entercard as the company enters a new phase,” says Ingela Forsberg, Chair of the Board of Entercard.

Johan Sälgström most recently served as Head of Group Cards & Payments at Swedbank and has previously worked at Nordea and EY. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Uppsala University.

“I’m proud to lead Entercard as a wholly owned subsidiary of Swedbank. Entercard’s expertise and infrastructure in cards and consumer credit create strong opportunities to further develop the business together with Swedbank,” says Johan Sälgström, CEO of Entercard.

Entercard became a wholly owned subsidiary of Swedbank in 2025, after having been jointly owned with Barclays since 2005. In connection with the acquisition, it was communicated that the company’s operations would be more closely integrated with Swedbank.

“We will develop the offering, strengthen the overall proposition for existing customers, and create new business opportunities. At the same time, an adjustment will be made to align with Swedbank’s risk levels,” says Johan Sälgström.

Entercard has approximately 450 employees and 1.5 million customers and is one of the leading credit market companies in the Nordic region. Former CEO Jan Haglund assumed the role in 2021.

“I would like to extend a special thank you to Jan Haglund, who over recent years has built a strong foundation for the company during a period of challenging macroeconomic conditions,” says Ingela Forsberg.
